The legend
harlos!
I had just finished watching The Legend from Channel U, shockingly, I was engrossed by it. First, I have to declare Bae Yong Jun is definitely not my kind of idol. tada. Am listening to the soundtrack via imeem right now... Sad isn't it? Because the links I found had all gone EXPIRED. Arghs. If I had known earlier, I would have downloaded the songs long ago. Sobs! All the songs and background music are like so NICE lar! Yet I have to hear it from imeem, where this time loads very slow...
Someone pretty please tell me where can I download this OST! :'(
p.s. hope my mom gets the show tomorrow~ 5 more days to end of my full-time working life!

Friday my favourite day!
It's half an hour more to noon, then lunch, then another six hours more, off to home! yippee!
I swear I'm not slacking, I'm merely taking a break after finishing the 'Lateness Report', while May and Meiling went to the 7th floor to do their medical check up.
I was checking youtube for new videos done by my batch of SRJCians, but apparently there aren't latest one except those orientation by my juniors. Not really interesting... As I don't know and don't wish to know them. =d
End up watching my student council video that was meant for investiture last year and I formed a conclusion. I miss my JC life!! Wish I could get it back somehow.
I could still remember the long tiring days when I stayed back for extra lectures and supplementary classes, if not for own's revision in the library. Then another couple hours later, we went back to school full of vibe again. Maybe it's just me who is still full of energy, most of the time, my friends were dead tired, and lack of enough sleep.
Come to think of it, I did suffer some kind of depression way way before the start of A'levels. =X Pessimism found me, and it affected me so badly that my black hair almost turned white, and I couldn't stop crying during a period of time. In school somemore. Dear friends, if you can still remember, the class emo/crying champion. It's me.
tada.
19th SC tribute 4 investiture
Ah. I missed council life too. A little surprise, but I actually missed the times we stayed back in school doing preparation for events, or some what you called sai-gang. =D Most of all, I missed orientation a lot. my demeter peeps, though I wasn't close to anyone of them. I was the OFL, in charge of hundred over freshmen before. Aah. Miss the peeps!

DS freak.
Dad found out about my red DS yesterday, but I'm pretty sure he has no idea how fun is it, compared to previous game consoles he bought for my brother, and maybe me. At least I bought the Nintendo DS myself, with my own hard earned money. Wells, my brother did contribute, about 3-4% of the original price. That's why he doesn't have the privilege of playing it as often as I do. I bring it to work almost every day, playing it while I am in the train or bus.
The game I'm addicted to recently is "Apollo Justice: ace attorney". Apollo sounds so like the biscuit we ate when we are young; I prefer the strawberry flavour. Anyway, fans had even came up with youtube videos, which are very very cool most of the time. Below is the trailer.
Super nice loh!
Christle got me addicted to it first, "nasty" girl. She will tell me how cool it is to be a defence attorney, and then finding contradictions to win the courtcase. Awesome ok! and then, the main character of the first three series - Phoenix Wright; he is so handsome man! Then when he returned in the fourth game, the one I'm playing now, shocking turn that he had lost his lawyer license and become a poker player. But.
But.
Hang on.
He more good-looking than ever!!! With his mature and manly look. XD
So enjoy the trailer if you have time. Uber Nice!

Jason and I
I learnt some startling fact about my brother and myself today.
We both love ice cream and chocolates!
No wonder, we are siblings! XD
mercy blues...
Having worked for the past five months, in the same company, I've seen enough people coming our office tender letters. Some have worked over many years, and decided a change in career while others resigned working less than few months, and worse, some quitted after only a day. This is the first company I worked in my life, and it's leaving rate is higher than hiring rate. Startling facts, but it's real.
Gone were the days of merry-making in my department. Everyone at work pulls a glum face; and hardly jokes now. Wrinkles etched across their foreheads; making them older than ever. No one bothers what I do at my desk except occasional "spot checks" by the manager, who sits right behind me. But most of the time, he goes MIA now. He is not even here at the moment. Everyone seems to be the kind who will leave once they have a job offer somewhere. And, it happened today. Big boss G. tendered resignation. Few days later, he decided to take back his resignation letter because he missed out one important clause in the new contract and felt it is best to stay. What with a daughter on her way to the world... Stupid move, stupid result. Stupid man. Now director wants him to leave after a month.
Sometimes I wonder, are all adults skeptical at work? Why do they always like to be nice and friendly to people whom they don't really like, then at their backs keep badmouthing them. For courtesy's sake, maybe. But they look like a bunch of idiots sometimes.
Today I asked May a very philosophical question that (I myself couldn't believe I say that), “我们到底为什么工作?” I don't mean to ask why do we work, I wanted to know what exactly do we work for? Why are there people slog so hard at work, and it turns out they achieve nothing glamourous in life. My question's worth some pondering right? So don't say Huilin's dumb anymore. I'm a realist.
Let's be honest. We all work for the one and only, plain obvious reason - money.
(in the perspective of youths)
1) Dates.
Teenagers often say "有了爱情够了", I truly think they are idiots, whose brains got fried and blinded by the "power" of love. Insanity. If you really live for love, why do we do you get cash for dates with your boyfriend/girlfriend? Steal? Rob? Nowadays, the cheapest movie ticket costs $7 already and a simple meal at food court costs $6. Tell me, do you not need money? Unless you are using the pocket money your parents give you to treat your girlfriend/boyfriend this and that... But won't you feel a bit duh - using your parents' hard-earned money for own entertainment? Like my mom, she forbids my brother who is 2 years younger than me to get a girlfriend now; she thinks it is a waste of money. Reason? Most of the time, guys, being 'generous' like to pay for almost everything on their dates, and knowing my brother... He will spend everything on the girl if she has already accepted him... =X Anyway, going dutch seems a better choice for youths who are still surviving on pocket money. Don't you agree?
Let's not talk about money supporting the courting process because not everyone is in a relationship now. As I believe, there are many others out there, still single and available. XD So
let's switch to another channel.

Sichuan Earthquake
It's been a week after the big quake hit the province; and everyday we are updated with the death toll, how authorities are still going all out to rescue survivors under debris, what celebrities had done to raise funds for the victims. While my favourite action idols Jackie Chan and Jet Li flew over there to help out with quake relief, JJ Lin was the first to compose a "quake" song to comfort/console the affected people. As though everyone had forgotten about the other side of Asia, where it also encountered natural disaster two weeks back. Both took place in month, but around the world, we are more concerned about the quake in China instead of the poorest and less developed nation. Bit irony, but that's the consequence for the decisions made by the stubborn fools, refusing to accept foreign aid and relief, thinking they could alleviate the problem themselves when cyclone struck the place. For a country with officials so involved with corruption? Who will expect the foreign relief given to them really be distributed to those victims? I don't think so. I really do sympathize the Myanmar victims, but what to do? Screw the selfish, greedy officials... Which is why most attention is diverted to the China's quake instead.
Yesterday was Vesak Day, and as usual I accompanied my mother to Shuang Lin Monastery for vegetarian meal. Surprise that they did not call me to volunteer my service when I saw them hosting a mini food fair in front of the temple. But guess they think I'm too young, and went MIA too often already, so they decided to blacklist me and prefer me to offer my service once a year during Chinese New Year. But that's fine with me. =) Then we went Buddha Tooth Relic Temple situated at Chinatown with my aunt's family. The temple was several stories high, but was terribly filled with devotees and foreign visitors. Everyone was packed like sardines and I had trouble walking normally, except than crab-walk from one point to another as some people stayed on the same spot, motionless, listening to the head monk chanting and giving some preaching. I didn't curse them under my breath, but keep wondering if they could just stay closer so to make way for people who want to move in, out. Whatever.
To be honest, I never really like that temple for it seems to more of a tourist attraction than some place divine and holy for buddhist devotees. It isn't quiet at all, and you have to queue to get in. There's even a musuem on the fourth floor, and sorta roof top garden. Trust me, it gives you the feeling of being abroad in some old palace in China. The musuem is great, and I heard from my aunt, the temple only opens it to the public on special occasions like Vesak Day. So was the exhibition on one tooth belonging to a Great Buddha 寺加莫里. Pardon me. But what happened to the rest of the Buddha's teeth? Why didn't they present the whole set in Singapore? Somewhere, sometime, something must have happened.
Sunday was supposed to be a PR outing, but there were last minute changes and only three girls, Jamie, Kang and me turned up at PS. Which was pretty good by the way, because three gossip queens gathered together, no one can anticipate what the outcome will be. At first, we waited at Mos Burger Joint for the 'last' person to come, but turned out he played on us after waiting for like most 2 hours. Geez. so the three girls went to catch IronMan. Here, I must say sorry to Christle for saying the show is duh... Cause it actually turn outs not bad, except for the main character. As usual, I only check out cool guys. After which, we went window shopping. Window, cause I am waiting for this coming Friday when GSS starts officially and then I can go spreeing! GSS = Great Singapore Sale.

Surprise of the day: We saw our own SC president, vice-president and SLC head jalan jalan outside the Cathay, apparently just came out of the theatre with a bag of popcorn in hand. A startling combination, but who cares. =X
Plus today, I'd accepted NUS computing course officially. Congrats Joan, who had been offered science faculty in NUS. haa! so happy! =D One step closer to our various goals. hehehe! MacDonald's ice-cream is on you. Rich woman. :)
p.s. I can't wait for Narnia to show next week, Christle. Biggest hint I've dropped if you are reading this. =)

I'm reading xiaxue's blog @ work.
I must be nuts ...
But I have absolutely nothing to do.
Disclaimer: I may PO another entry by end of today .. hais.
__________________________________________
just realized I really don't have a flair for writing serious essays.
Shiat...
I'm going to fail the english test ...
a day with my mom.
I love going out with my mother, and always do because I love my mother lots. X) So if you have been asking me out, and I turned you down for two simple reasons.
1) I am busy. Which is true, I am always BUSY; cause I have a habit keep myself preocupied, be it watch dramas, go online, play games, sleeping, eating, updating my blogstore... I like to keep my mind working at all times. So I ended up tired like hell...
2) This is straightforward. I don't LIKE YOU. And I don't want to go out with you. Imagine hanging out with someone you -.- for hours, I rather kill myself...
Don't worry, most of the time when I said I'm not free, it belongs to the first reason. I really am not free, I speak the truth!
Anyway I can't stop your mind from moving to the wrong direction... If I don't like you, do you think I will post this on my blog and let you read? Will I even allow you to read my blog? Uhm, maybe I am lying to one or two people ba.. That's all.
I was down with cold and sore throat, so I left work after one hour of physical presence in office. Then I decided to meet my mom, who just finished her check-up at sk polyclinic. She called to tell me that "male doctors are still the best, daring people." and I was erm...
To be an excellent cake baker next time, you need all the guide books and recipes you can learn from. And my mom found this examination guide for baking from library, it was thick and heavy, but new. Imagine I had to lug the grocery and books all the way for 3 hours... Inhumane!
Then we went to see Best to check out her dream egg mixer, which is kenwood brand and costs $1120. Other than it's made completely of stainless steel, I don't see why it costs a thousand for just a household appliance! Nuts... But now, I just need to get a small and affordable mixer... And my mom refused to lower her expectations. What a dork. $1120 is not even my monthly salary la.
But one thing good about my mom is her aunty bargaining style. She used it in Bluemax yesterday. What a joke. They were having a sale for korean dramas, as usual, 3 for $30. Then I told my mom, if you want watch any show, tell me, I buy for you. (actually I did that to make up for Mother's Day, I treated my mom lunch too. =D) One trolley is categorized as 3 for $30, containing older shows; the other trolley contains newer shows, but costs between $10 to $20++. Well, my mom being an aunty, she began to bargain with the store attendant. She spotted one title, think is spring waltz, if not wrong, from the second trolley and asked whether can mix several shows from two trolleys. Naturally, the helper said no. But my mom refused to believe, and kept 'arguing' with her. Why cannot!
I was .... But inside me, I want to burst out laughing. Cause if the person is me, I would do the same way; act innocent and ask these questions. No harm asking what.. After hassling and pondering, my mom finally chose three titles, from the first trolley. tsktsk.. my wallet burnt quite a hole, but never mind. Who ask it's my mom... She happy can le.
So, end of story. I spotted a red jacket from Hangten I want to buy. Apologies if you think I'm a dork going for these aunty brands, cause I go for designs and not famous brands de. Hrrmp. And I checked Bluemax yesterday, they deducted 10 dollars from "the Devil" original price le! Hooray, now it costs $29.90. I shall wait for a few more weeks, see if it drops to $19.90! yippee!
The devil! devil! devil!
Before I forget...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JOAN!
(it's in your favourite blue, somemore! XD)

M&M blueberry Jam muffin
tink!
my muffins are ready!
you guys must be thinking, "gosh, are they edible?"
right, i know, you peeps ...
have you forgotten about stella's birthday cake, cookies on valentine days...
never mind,
don't say i'm boasting. =X
but today's 'experiment' is not a flop,
the muffins nice and brown.
one mistake i learnt, don't ever bake M&Ms in your muffins.
cause the coating will melt and the muffins will be stained with green, orange, red and brown colouring.
sigh...
i shan't post the photos this time, cause they look really ugly... =(
i shall spend my June Holidays pick up baking and cooking lessons from my extremely talented mother, so i can be like ethel pei, the homemaker.
i'm aiming to be a cake baker too.
(too many aspirations, not sure if i can fulfill every one of them)
then again, life is too short to not try everything. :D
lesson:
I'm going to get a egg mixer during this coming GREAT SINGAPORE SALE, for my sake! my mother actually bought several before, and she spoilt everyone of them... omg... this explains my aching right arm lar...
egg mixer, egg mixer, egg mixer!
aja!
12/5/08
A new day of another week. =)
but also an episode of bad karma for me.
Just one stop, one more stop to my company,
and the non air-conditioned bus had to break down...
=.=
monday's suayness. ROARS!
in an industrial park, where distance between two bus stops is horribly far... i think i walked at least 300m just to get my office. huffing and puffing. it's my first time too to curse the wonderful weather. it was too HOT.
anyway,
i decided.
NUS computing ba. =)
Saturday, May 10
when
have you become so concerned?
drop the pretense, git.
i'm in my room, blogging via my laptop.
i'd decided to skip today's dinner, after what i saw my grandmother and her companions from m'sia. they were like so horrible; as if they come here is to be waited upon by my mom.
serve hot pipin' dishes, then invite them to the table to eat. after dinner, one of her friends actually expects the daughter-in-law to wash their dishes when my grandmother washed her cultery. i have a hunch that my grandmother told her friends tales of my mom in the kampong.
come on, who you think you are?
my mom is not your maid!
i happened to chance an unsatisfied face from one of the old grannies when they saw the room they are sleeping in for the next two nights. for your information, it's my second largest room after master room - study room. my dad specially moved his gigantic metal desk out to the dining room so they are more comfortable in the room. yet, they seem pretty unimpressed.
so don't expect me to sit in the living room and entertain you. i never handle gloomy old ladies and your presence made my mom not able to spend a happy mother's day.
我很想你,外婆。
Happy mother's day in advance, Mom. :)
and sorry i can't do anything about it.
i will buy you the fila bag that you you want.

ajitei
I'm glad I have wonderful colleagues at work.People often say you hardly find a true friend in office, because everyone is ambitious and will do anything to climb the corporate ladder, but not May and Meiling.
They are like the best people I met here.
Not forgetting, Evelyn who left two months ago.
They are like big sisters to me. =D
I'm pretty blessed.
p.s. I would like to take back what I said about May..
one of the big sisters treated me Ajitei in name of celebration. :X
the food was quite tasty.
she ordered fried lotus root, tonpei yaki, seafood ramen.
tonpei yaki consists slices of raw cabbage hidden under fried omelet, squeezed with teppanyaki sauce and mayonnaise, assures you of enough fibre.
seafood ramen has scallops, crab meat, egg. soup is rich and taste yummy!
fortunately the pork cutlet we ordered didn't come or else we would be stuffed to death...
and lastly for dessert, it's macha sundae anmitsu with several muah chee. hees!
i still prefer my vanilla ice-cream. =D
anybody, shall we go there fo meal sometime? hehe.
prices are pretty much like swensen, fish & co, pizza hut etc.
so japanese food isn't as bad as I thought.
and I guess I like adults after all.
Tuesday, May 6
thank you.
to people who tagged on my board and sent me sms,
I'm all right.
just that I suck at the task sometimes.
I decided to face the reality.
it's thursday today; the date for this entry is inaccurate lar.
cos i put it as a draft then never get around to finish it...
8 may.
23 days more...
I saw Yj's tag, I was so shocked.
I like lost in touch with him lar... he still bothered to go my friendster and leave a comment.

i am a bad girl.
but I can't help it,
can I?
It's becoming a dreadful habit.
I know it.
U know it.
Probably many others out there know it.
My obstinate manner and obssessive person.
One thing for sure.
I shall learn my lesson once and for all.
I will never give promises to others again.
never.
because I know I may not be able to fulfill them.
and empty promises always hurt.
not just me.
but others...
I will also not hesitate.
no way.
because it takes time.
and thinking always leads to betrayal.
in the end,
everyone is upset.
I don't wish to be somebody who keeps breaking promises.
I don't wish to be the pain of others.
I don't wish to be one who needs others' attention.
I don't wish to be everybody's pleasure seeker.
I don't wish to be alone 24/7.
I don't wish to be petty.
I don't wish to lie all times.
I don't wish to be the way I am.
I don't wish to grow up so fast, or rather that's fine with me.
I don't wish to be looked down by others.
I don't wish to be fat.
I don't wish to lose my best friends.
I don't wish to fail my GP.
I don't wish to be laughed by others.
I don't wish to be hated or disliked by people.
I don't wish to be rejected by them.
I don't wish to pangseh you...
I don't wish to sprout nasty words to you.
I don't wish to be forgiven by you all.
I don't wish to be a sinner.
This list can go on forever...
My life is so full of regrets.
I did try to make everything works.
apparently nothing works...
